Customs are different in Japan, where the whole casket is wood and the body goes into the soil, so there we would not leave the focal point with the body. Here, people are embalmed and the casket is covered with cement, and focal points are now metal. So more recently I have let people wear their sacred focal points for burial.	Rev.
